Pure Essentials is an innovate brand in collaboration with Boots UK, created to increase the awareness around recycling plastic.
Project created for final year design project.
Research was conducted to understand the current issues with the packaging industry and the problems we are facing with disposal and reducing waste. Through questionnaires, interviews and secondary research the main problems and further research points were highlighted.
"88% of people surveyed would like to learn more about how to be more sustainable"
"Brands need to leverage their influence to collectively change consumer attitudes towards recycling"
1. Understand Boots
2. Understand consumer
3. Define brand values
New Brand Values
Many concepts were generated for the final design. Here are some of the layouts, colours and logos that were created.
To capture the natural values of this brand I chose to capture strong imagery using product photography. Styled with rose petals and tiles creates a contrast against the soft pink bottles and backdrop.
To create an immersive shopping experience I designed a stand to sit inside of Boots. This will provide a interactive and educational location to learn about recycling and Pure Essentials.
Through education brands can use their influence to drive positive change whilst enhancing their public image.
